Description of this source: For the first couple of settlements in Szigetvár Sanjak of 1571 this published collection of defters (Ottoman censii) provides the names for the heads of households - unfortunately for the rest of the places it only lists the numbers of houses of the reaya (non-Muslim) population paying the jizya tax.
